About
Guro Midtun is an Oslo-based designer working with furniture and objects. Guided by curiosity, she creates sculptural pieces at the intersection of art and industry.
She develops work that balances structure and atmosphere, familiar yet slightly unexpected. Drawing on references from fashion, architecture, and industrial production, her work moves between the intuitive and the constructed.
Her practice builds on a background spanning both collaborative studio work and industry, including Studio Føy and several years at Vestre, a Norwegian manufacturer of outdoor furniture for public spaces.
Her process is rooted in understanding context, what exists, what is needed, and what can evolve, shaping objects intended to remain relevant over time.
